FIGHT THE STROKE FOUNDATION
EXISTS TO ENSURE A BETTER FUTURE FOR YOUNG STROKE SURVIVORS WITH A DISABILITY OF CEREBRAL PALSY, AND THEIR FAMILIES.

WHY

VALUES

  • The best way to help our son Mario is to help every other kid in the same condition, in the world. FightTheStroke believes in the opportunity to offer a dignified life to those who experienced a major trauma like that of a brain injury at birth or at a young age, so that you look at opportunities and strengths more than the individual areas of improvement.

  • We believe in the role of sharing experiences to give support to families impacted by trauma related to health and disability in general, for which we develop solutions based on the inclusive design framework.

  • We believe in the care of the individual as a single unit and not as a set of organs to maintain and repair.

  • We believe in the role of the family as a critical success factor in the rehabilitation and post-trauma care process.

  • We believe in cultural contamination, in sport and in the value of technology, as enablers in human relationships and to develop the unexpressed or varied potential of people.

  • We believe in dissemination of knowledge in the medical-scientific field so that all levels of the population are able to measure and maintain their health.

  • We believe in the principles of sustainability of our activities and we’re committed to respecting and disseminating the objectives of sustainable growth, both in the non-profit and in terms of value shared with the communities in which we operate.

THE MAIN PROBLEMS WE ARE SOLVING

  1. LOW AWARENESS AND FRAGMENTED ADVOCACY ABOUT CEREBRAL PALSY

  2. LATE AND EXTENSIVE INTERVENTION

  3. ISOLATED PARENTS

  4. POOR MOTOR AND COGNITIVE REHAB

  5. LACK OF DATA AND INSIGHTS

  6. HEALTHCARE’S INNOVATION IS ONLY TOP-DOWN AND NOT COMING FROM PATIENTS

  7. LONG TERM SUSTAINABILITY IN CONSUMERIZATION OF HEALTHCARE

COMMUNITY-LED INNOVATION MODEL

THE BEST WAY TO HELP OUR SON MARIO IS TO HELP EVERY KID IN THE WORLD IN THE SAME CONDITIONS.

THE BEST WAY TO SUSTAIN INNOVATION FOR KIDS WITH PERMANENT DISABILITIES IS TO DESIGN A SOLUTION FOR THEM AND WITH THEM, THEN MARKET IT TO EVERY KID WITH TEMPORARY OR OCCASIONAL DISABILITY.

THE BEST WAY TO HELP US IN DEVELOPING A MORE INCLUSIVE WORLD FOR OUR KIDS IS TO EMPOWER EVERY TEMPORARY ENTREPRENEUR LIKE US TO DO THE SAME.

OUR ULTIMATE PURPOSE IS TO CREATE A MORE INCLUSIVE WORLD, THAT CAN LAST AFTER US.
