Carissimi,

Leggete questo post perchè siete capitati su questa pagina o perché siete entrati in contatto nel 2014 con l’Associazione Fightthestroke.org o con i suoi Fondatori Francesca Fedeli, Mario e Roberto D’Angelo.

Ci fa piacere ripercorrere con voi il bilancio delle principali attività dell'Associazione: da Giugno 2013 ad oggi abbiamo raggiunto ca. 830.000 visualizzazioni del video TED che ha raccontato per la prima volta una storia di ictus nell'infanzia; abbiamo parlato a più di 15 eventi in giro per il mondo, raggiungendo oltre 5000 persone che oggi sanno dell'esistenza di questo problema; abbiamo organizzato l'evento Call for Brain a Milano che ci ha permesso di aggregare oltre 300 persone tra medici, scienziati, pazienti e innovatori, per discutere di medicina e tecnologia in maniera aperta e collaborativa.

A Settembre abbiamo rappresentato l’Italia negli Stati Uniti grazie all’Eisenhower Fellowship on Innovation, dove abbiamo sviluppato il nostro progetto per la neuro-riabilitazione dei bambini affetti da ictus.

Tra le comunità a noi più vicine, un grande orgoglio per il Gruppo Chiuso di Facebook: 50 famiglie che condividono l’interesse per la diffusione delle informazioni su Emiplegia, Emiparesi e Ictus Infantile.

E poi interviste, un canale video, un capitolo di un bel libro e tra breve un libro tutto nostro: perchè pensiamo che solo continuando a parlarne potremo sensibilizzare l'opinione pubblica ad investire sulla ricerca a favore dei danni cerebrali ai bambini.

you’re reading this post because you stopped by here by chance or you got in touch somehow with Fightthestroke.org founders Francesca Fedeli, Mario and Roberto D’Angelo.

Starting from June 2013, we reached around 830.000 views of our TED talk, that first time ever told the story of a pediatric stroke survivor; we spoke at more than 15 events around the world , reaching at least 5000 people that got to know of our global issue; we’ve been proud ambassador of TEDMED 2014 and organizers of Call for Brain , an event that allowed us to regroup around 300 people among doctors, scientists, patients and innovators, talking about open medicine and technology. And lately this year we won the Eisenhower Fellowship on Innovation, an amazing experience that allowed us to travel around the States working on our project, aimed at lowering the incidence of brain stroke and finding new applications for physical and cognitive rehabilitation.

Among our closest communities, we’re very glad to have created a Closed Hub for Families on Facebook: 50 families sharing fair knowledge and direct experiences on Hemiplegia and Children Stroke.

And then interviews, a video channel, a book contribution and our own book on the go: because we think that the more we spread our message, the most we raise awareness on the desperate need of research on children brain damages.

We are grateful to people like you for having reached these milestones together, we thank you for having kept on supporting us for fighting and smiling: we believe that this is a global issue and we can reach our goals just together with you. We simply won’t stop here.
